The Northamptonshire Society for Autism
is a charity which aims to help and support all those whose life is touched by autism, or who wish to learn more about this perplexing disability. Our main office is based in Northampton from where we co-ordinate countywide services for autistic children and adults, their parents and carers and professionals living or working in Northamptonshire.

ASSERT

Introduction

The ASSERT Programme caters for adults (16+) who have an autistic spectrum condition.  It is a person centred programme which aims to enable understanding and development of social and communication skills, work preparation and support individuals in their personal development.

The ASSERT Programme is supported by the Learning Skills Council and is working with Connexions, Employment and Disability Services, Community Services, Learn Direct and the National Autistic Society.

ASSERT promotes independence, choice and self advocacy.
